Following an intense legal battle, the US-based reality star’s divorce from Guobadia was finalised on June 11 by a judge in Georgia.
In an , Guobadia said Porsha never told him there were issues in their marriage before filing for divorce.
He said attempts to contact her and her family were ignored, and that he believed the divorce was a “coup” against him.
“I absolutely regret marrying her. In one of my texts to her, I kept asking why she filed for divorce, and she wouldn’t say anything,” he said.
“I also tried to reach out to her mum, but she wasn’t responding. I later figured out it was a coup.
“I felt blindsided. None of her family members reached out to me. I even sent her a message saying this marriage felt like a $5 million rehab project that I took on.
“She never communicated any issues to me before filing for divorce. In a relationship, you discuss problems but we never had those conversations.
“I’m happy to share text messages that show I was completely blindsided.”
Guobadia also claimed he was targeted for “financial reasons” while citing their engagement happened just 30 days after his previous divorce, during a time when he was “emotionally vulnerable”.
“I think I was targeted from the beginning for financial reasons. When I filed for divorce from my ex-wife, she was already in my DMs, praying for me,” he said.
“I was in a vulnerable place and ended up entertaining it. Thirty days later, I got engaged. Who does that? I was out of my mind, and now I’m paying dearly for it.”
He revealed the prenup terms while vowing to challenge it in court, even up to the supreme court if necessary.
“The terms of the prenup state that Porsha will receive $40,000 a month for the duration of the marriage, which lasted 14 months,” he said.
“She gets to stay in the house, all expenses paid, including the mortgage, for up to 36 months. If she wants to own the home, she’ll have to refinance it in her name and give me 50% equity.
“In my previous relationships, I’ve honoured the prenups, but in this case, I’ve chosen to challenge it in court, even to the Supreme Court, if I have to. I’m going to be appealing the enforcement of this prenup, 100%.”
Recently, Porsha that she is now “at peace” following her divorce from Guobadia. She clarified that the split had nothing to do with infidelity.
The reality star was married to Kordell Stewart, an ex-NFL player, for two years before their 2013 divorce. She also shares a daughter with Dennis McKinley, her ex-fiancé.
Guobadia, on the other hand, has five children from previous relationships. He was recently released from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention and deported to Nigeria.
