Published 5 days ago1 minute read

China has announced a significant expansion of its visa-free entry policy, extending it to include citizens from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain. This new policy will be in effect for a one-year period, commencing on June 9, 2025, and concluding on June 8, 2026.

According to Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning, individuals from these four Middle Eastern nations who hold ordinary passports will be permitted to enter China without a visa and can stay for a duration of up to 30 days. This initiative marks a notable step in China's international relations and travel policies.

Mao Ning further highlighted that with the inclusion of these four countries, China's visa-free entry policy will now encompass all member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). This development is anticipated to facilitate greater travel and exchange between China and the GCC region, fostering closer economic and cultural ties.
