The federal government has been urged to improve investments in hospitality sector by creating enabling environment for private sector to attract investments and boost growth

Executive Director of Chelsea Group, Chidinma Chidolue, made the disclosure in Abuja on Wednesday during the co-launch of co-working space in partnership with Regus, a brand under the International Workplace Group (IWG).

“There is a need for the hospitality sectors to be supported because the sector has huge potentials to contribute to gross domestic product.

“The launch of a new creative fund by the ministry of culture and creative economy is crucial and we want private sector to invest in employees and build systems that work,”

Country Manager of Regus, Ayo Akinmade, said the launch and partnership was informed by the global shift towards combining work and lifestyle for startups, professionals and growing businesses and part of efforts to provide conducive atmosphere for businesses to thrive.

He said 70 per cent of Regus clients in Nigeria are small and medium-sized businesses and the economic impact would be to create jobs, generate VAT, and support service businesses in the FCT.
