Global Spotlight On African Business As 15th African Achievers Awards Holds At UK Parliament

Come Thursday July 10 and Friday July 11, the 15th edition of the prestigious African Achievers award is set to hold at the House of Commons and House of Lords, Palace of Westminster, London.

This year’s edition will be hosted by Rt. Hon. Diane Abbott, MP, the UK’s first Black female Member of Parliament and a trailblazing voice for social justice and global development and Baroness Sandip Member of the House of Lords of the United Kingdom & Chancellor of the University of Roehampton.

This year’s theme, “Doing Business in Africa: Opportunities, Challenges, and Strategies to Globalize African Business,” aims to spotlight Africa’s evolving economic landscape while advancing dialogue on trade, innovation, investment, and cross-continental collaboration.

Founded in 2010, the African Achievers Awards celebrates individuals and institutions driving transformative impact in leadership, entrepreneurship, education, agriculture, innovation, and community development. Now in its 15th year, the Awards have honored over 350 distinguished Africans from more than 30 countries, and has become one of the most respected platforms for championing African excellence on a global stage.

From heads of state and policymakers to investors, creatives, and civil society leaders, the 2025 edition is set to inspire high-level engagement and strategic partnerships that will define Africa’s role in the global economy.

According to Dr. Rex Idaminabo, Principal Partner of the African Achievers Awards, “This year marks a momentous milestone. We return to the historic Houses of Parliament not just to celebrate our journey, but to reimagine Africa’s place in the world economy with bold ideas, global allies, and resilient leadership guiding the way.”

Key Highlights of the 2025 edition according to him Include; keynote speeches from global business leaders, African ministers, and UK parliamentarians, panel discussions on investment opportunities, fintech, sustainable trade, and private sector growth; networking reception with African and international leaders, entrepreneurs, and diplomats

Also, as a special feature, a prestigious Awards  and Celebratory Dinner will be held on the evening of Friday,  July 11 at the House of Lords, Palace of Westminster, graciously hosted by Baroness Verma of Leicester, Member of the House of Lords.

This elegant dinner will unite award recipients, dignitaries, high-profile business leaders, and international guests for a night of celebration, recognition, and powerful connections in one of the UK’s most iconic and historic chambers.
