Published 3 weeks ago• 1 minute read
The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria is seeking $18 billion to continue its lifesaving work over the coming years, the multilateral funder revealed with the launch of its investment case on Tuesday.
According to a news release, a fully funded Global Fund “could save an additional 23 million lives between 2027 and 2029.” Executive Director Peter Sands said that for every dollar invested in the Global Fund, they expect a return of $19 in health and economic benefits.
South Africa and the United Kingdom will serve as cohosts for the replenishment.
