Arsenal have been the better team than Man United in the last few seasons but the fixture is always a fierce one.

The Gunners won 2-0 in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium before the Red Devils knocked them out of the FA Cup in a fiery contest in January.

Man United and Arsenal clashed in epic matches in the early 2000s but none of them have won the Premier League in the last decade, although the Gunners keep getting closer.

Gary Neville played for Man United all his career and won many league titles. He expected his boyhood club to turn up.

“Manchester United are playing so poorly at the moment but they do sometimes lift their game against big opponents," he said on Its Called Soccer show, via Football365.
“I think that will be the case on Sunday. The crowd will be with them, I think it will be 1-1.”

Arsenal won both games last season and there's a high chance of them achieving that again. Opta gave Arsenal a 51% chance of winning the clash while Man United have 23%.

"The season is beginning to feel like the ones we have had in the last few years, dropping points when we shouldn't and it is getting frustrating honestly. Against West Ham, it was evident that we struggled in key areas and we are beginning to feel the impact of missing our strike force," Arsenal fan Alex Wire told .

The two coaches are having different seasons with their clubs. Ruben Amorim took charge in November and os overseeing Man United's worst season in the Premier League.

Arsenal, on the other hand, have been challenging for the league title under Mikel Arteta for the last three campaigns. He expects a tough game at Old Trafford.

"There’s a history of that at the football club - the players they have, the club that they have. Watching the game last night against Real Sociedad, it became very clear that they’re very capable of putting a really strong performance in and beat you on the day. We know the difficulty of the match and that’s what we’re preparing for," he said via Arsenal.com.

Amorim is facing an injury crisis ahead of Sunday's clash, especially considering they played on Thursday in the Europa League.

"We are trying to see all the players who are fresh and who are not in danger of getting an injury. Even with that we have to risk a little bit but we have to be competitive on Sunday," via ESPN.

earlier reported that Amorim claimed that the Europa League is much tougher than the Champions League.

The Portuguese coach said the difficult thing is recovering for the league over the weekend.
