Gachagua allies demand disclosure of recent gov't deals

Published 6 hours ago1 minute read

Leaders allied to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua are demanding that the government make public all recent agreements it has signed to determine the current custodian of the public seal.

Speaking at the Kairuri Grounds in Embu, the leaders accused the Executive of lawlessness following the revelation that the seal had been moved to the Office of the Head of Public Service.

The announcement was made by Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura, who later backtracked on the statement, alleging misinformation stemming from a bill in Parliament. The Attorney General is the custodian of the public seal, which is appended to all agreements by the Government of Kenya.

Aliichukua lini? Na atuambie tangu achukue ameweka stamps ngapi, ili tujue kama nchi yetu ya Kenya inataka kuuziwa wale watu wako ile upande ingine," Manyatta MP Gitonga Mukunji added.
