Ahmed Ibrahim, Member of Parliament MP for Banda

Ahmed Ibrahim, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Banda, has been nominated by President John Dramani Mahama as the Minister-designate for Local Government, Decentralization, and Religious Affairs.

Ibrahim is a Ghanaian politician and public servant.

He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from GIMPA and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Ghana.

Since 2009, he has served as a Member of Parliament, representing the Tain and later Banda Constituencies. He has held leadership roles such as Deputy Majority Whip and Deputy Minority Whip.

He is a former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Flamingo Publications Ghana Ltd.

Ibrahim has participated in international workshops on parliamentary governance and telecommunications.
