Le Mans Sarthe Basket added 31-year old American small forward Travante Williams to their roster for the new 2025-26 season. He played last season at CSM CSU Oradea in Romanian Liga Nationala. Williams managed to play in three leagues last year. In 42 Liga Nationala games, he recorded 11.5ppg, 4.2rpg, 1.9apg, and 1.5spg. He helped them win the regular season and make it to the final, also playing in the Cup final. Williams was named to Eurobasket.com All-Romanian League Third Team. He also played in FIBA Europe Cup and Basketball Champions League. In the previous season, he played at BAXI Manresa in the Spanish league. Williams has been regularly called to the Portuguese Senior National Team since 2022.
He is quite an experienced player. Williams has also played professionally in Georgia (Tskaltubo), Portugal (Sporting and Oliveirense), and Spain.
Among many awards, he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Portuguese League Import Player of the Year in 2021.
He graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2016 and it will be his tenth season as a professional player. Williams played also for Adams State University for one year.
