FIRST ALERT WEATHER - RED FLAG WARNINGS STICK AROUND

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -

Red Flag Warnings continue for Western Colorado. Western Colorado will see recurring Red Flag Warnings for the next several days. Low values of relative humidity, combined with high winds, pose a risk of fire ignition.

Kicking off the day tomorrow, the heat will increase immediately. Grand Junction expects another triple-digit day. The wind gusts are expected to appear by 9 a.m. and will reach roughly 20 mph at that time. Before the end of the day, gusts will peak around 40 mph. Damage to property may occur if objects are not appropriately secured. Power lines and tree branches are also at risk.

At this time, burning of any kind is still prohibited per an advisory released by Mesa County.
