EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - The National Weather Service in La Crosse did some surveying and found a total of 7 tornadoes did occur in their coverage area so far on Wednesday. 6 out of the 7 did occur in our Minnesota and Wisconsin counties. 3 tornadoes occurred in Houston County, 2 in La Crosse County, and 1 in Winona County. Of those tornadoes, 2 were rated EF-1 (estimated winds up to 100 mph on the strongest one) and 4 were EF-0 (estimated winds up to 80 mph on the strongest one). More information is likely to come in the next few days.
