Mikael Jantunen

Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul (BSL) signed 25-year old Finn international power forward Mikael Jantunen (204cm-99kg-2000, college: Utah) for upcoming 2025-26 season. Jantunen is the second import player in the roster as USA Scottie Wilbekin signed here earlier.
He has played for the last two seasons at Paris Basketball in French Betclic ELITE ProA. In 33 games he had 7.5ppg and 4.2rpg last season. He helped them to win the league title and the cup. He also played 38 games in Euroleague where he recorded 7.5ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.0apg. Jantunen contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals.
He has been also a member of Finnish international program for some years. Jantunen has regularly played for Finnish senior team since 2018 and previously for University National Team back in 2019.
He represented Finland at the FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in Valencia (Spain) last year. His stats at that event were 3 games: 17.7ppg, 7.3rpg, 3.0apg, 1.0spg, FGP: 62.5%, 3PT: 61.5%, FT: 90.0%.
Jantunen has played also professionally in Belgium (Oostende), Italy (Treviso) and NBA Summer League (GS Warriors).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Eurobasket.com All-BNXT League Sixth Man of the Year back in 2022.
He graduated from University of Utah in 2021 and it will be his fifth season as a professional player.
