Legendary Portuguese football star, Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed he won’t be playing in the FIFA Club World Cup this month.

Ronaldo confirmed that talks have been ongoing with several clubs asking for his service in the competition.

The Al Nassr forward has been in talks with clubs from Saudi Arabia, Brazil and other leagues who want him to play in the FIFA competition.

The former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus star was said to be on the brinks of switching Al Nassr for Al Hilal weeks ago in order to play in the competition.

Ronaldo said according to Fabrizio Romano, “It’s almost decided that I will NOT take part at the FIFA Club World Cup despite receiving many invitations and proposals.

“There have been talks, contacts… but you have to think about short, medium and long term”.

Later this evening the 40-year-old football icon will lead his national team to the final of the UEFA Europe Nations League against Spain.
