Femi Idris elected National Chairman of ACLGSCN

In a resounding display of confidence and leadership, the Chairman of Ondo State Local Government Service Commission, Femi Idris, has been elected as the National Chairman of the Association of Chairmen of Local Government Service Commissions in Nigeria (ACLGSCN).

The election, held, yesterday, in Abuja, saw Idris overwhelmingly voted into office, succeeding Muhammad Sani Bawa of Nasarawa State. The newly elected executive team, comprising seasoned professionals and dedicated public servants, is poised to drive the association forward with vision and purpose.

Alongside Idris, the team includes Simon Tangni as National Vice-Chairman, Romanus Nwasum (National Secretary), Olubukunola Onabanjo (National Treasurer) and Prof. Aminu Ladan (National Public Relations Officer.)

In his inaugural address, Idris reaffirmed his commitment to prioritising the welfare of members and advancing the association’s objectives.

“It is my solemn promise that with this mandate, we will continue to prioritise the welfare of members and ensure the association’s unwavering dedication to progress,” he said.

The outgoing Chairman, Muhammad Sani Bawa, lent his support to the new leadership, expressing confidence in their ability to propel the association to greater heights. He said: “I urge the new executives to work together and harness the collective strength of members to achieve our mandate.”

Meanwhile, as the new leadership takes the reins, members have pledged their full support and loyalty, setting the stage for a new era of growth.
