FCT police arrest 2 robbers, recover 3 stolen vehicles

Also, the command recovered three stolen vehicles and two locally made guns from the suspects.
The suspects: Rabiu and Isa, residents of Tipper Garage, Jahi, were arrested on March 27, 2025, at about 3:20 a.m, by operatives of the Mabushi Division while responding to a distress call that robbers were raiding Royal Court Estate, Jahi II.
FCT Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO),Josephine Adeh, said that upon arrival at the scene, police operatives were engaged in a gun duel by the hoodlums, who were overpowered by the superior firepower of the police and attempted to flee with gunshot injuries.
Adeh, in a statement, said:”A hot pursuit ensued, leading to the arrest of two suspects; Jubril and Isa, both residents of Tipper Garage, Jahi”.
She listed the items recovered from the suspects to include: two locally made firearms,and three suspected stolen vehicles”. She said the suspects are currently in custody and would be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ajao S. Adewale, urges residents to take proactive security measures, particularly by installing tracking devices in their vehicles. This significantly enhances recovery efforts in the unfortunate event of theft or robbery.
