Fazerdaze by Frances Carter
has followed up her 2024 album Soft Power with a new single entitled Motorway.
It aims to capture the feeling of, ‘being trapped between a city and a relationship’, according to Amelia Rahayu Murray:
Searching for home in both, but finding it in neither. It explores an enmeshment with familiarity; and the motorway becoming a symbol of that for me; repetitive, a loop to break out of, a false sense of freedom.
The Pixies tour, meanwhile, will be bookended by headline gigs at the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles and in Philadelphia, Washington D.C., New York and Boston at the end of September.
