Farrah Abraham Says 'Teen Mom' Doesn't Have the Funding to Bring Her Back to Franchise; Says She'd "Love to Hire" Jenelle Evans & Ashley Jones for Other Projects - The Ashley's Reality Roundup

“No funding, no Farrah– PER LAW!”

Despite being “bombarded everyday” by fans asking if she will ever return to the franchise, has revealed that the show is “not my journey anymore,” because it (allegedly) can’t afford her.

The former ‘Teen Mom’ star told TMZ this week that while she doesn’t mind being asked about returning to the franchise, she believes she’s kept it 100 as to why she’s opted not to.

…because you haven’t been asked?

“I love the question but I don’t understand why fans keep asking me would I come back,” Farrah told the outlet. “I think I’ve been so boldly honest, more honest than probably any other woman on the franchise with fans, because I get bombarded everyday … .”

According to Farrah, who was fired from in October 2017, fans aren’t getting to see whatever face she’s currently sporting on their TVs anymore because / just doesn’t have the budget to bring her back .

“ … I am not making light of, you know, less budgets or I’m not, you know, putting a spotlight on lack of budgets, but I’m just being authentically honest when I say, for ‘Teen Mom,’ it is not for me to be a part of,” she said. “I have to respect my time, I have to look out for my child … .”

While Farrah insisted that her teenage daughter Sophia’s wellbeing plays a part in her decision, she claimed in an interview with Access Hollywood in February that she was still open to the idea of returning to the ‘Teen Mom’ world and that she had even tried to get the network to film a special for Sophia’s 16th birthday.

“Your loss, guys!”

“I even did a pitch for Sophia’s sweet sixteen to [‘Teen Mom’] but the budgets weren’t right,” she said. “If I do come back, if we get the budgets in the future … I would love to … .”

As told you earlier this month, Farrah got fired up after she and other original ‘Teen Mom’ cast members were left out of a photoshoot and interview with People in celebration of the franchise’s 16th anniversary.

“The production used to say, ‘Teen Mom family,’ but that was just narcissism to underpay teens and children, as most of the parents shown in this picture have financial issues,” Farrah told OK! Magazine. “The picture represents how sad the franchise is today.”

Farrah went on to mention the anniversary snub again this week.

“Like, reporters are just like, dying for me to comment on a reunion picture that’s missing all of the cast … ,” she said, insisting that the reunion diss may have been “done purposely” in order to get a response from her, which would in turn, “get a little bit of attention for the franchise.”

“ … again, the network is not in a position to have actual budgets,” she added, suggesting that a serving of one of her infamous word-salads is in some way benefitting the franchise financially.

“Umm, yeah…YOU’RE WELCOME!”

Despite being in her feelings over the recent reunion photo, Farrah insisted this week that she “doesn’t need the pressure” from fans to rejoin the franchise, as being on ‘Teen Mom’ is “not my journey anymore.” In fact, the self-proclaimed legal expert even revealed that she’s in the process of pitching her own “‘Teen Mom’ stuff” to other networks– networks that actually have the budget to fund said projects.

“ … I think that’s more important than just being focused on a show that’s in a lull and has no funding … ,” she said.

While Farrah won’t be making her ‘Teen Mom’ come back anytime soon (or seemingly ever), she stated this week that she is interested in hiring former ‘Teen Mom’ star and current cast member for one of her ‘Teen Mom’-adjacent projects. (As The Ashley previously told you, the trio were photographed at a fundraising event last week in Las Vegas. After the event– which was also attended by ‘Teen Mom’ producer – Farrah, Jenelle and Ashley went out to dinner together.)

Something tells us Jenelle would jump at this opportunity even faster than she jumps into a new relationship…

“ … there are so many fun new things and I would love to, you know, hire Jenelle, I’d love to hire Ashley,” she said. “I’d love to hire so many other teen moms and if there’s, like, a ‘Teen Mom’ look back and the influence on like, our audience and our kids and the moms, like those are shows that I’m pitching and it’s actively out right now, so fingers crossed, y’all … .”

In addition to the “‘Teen Mom’ stuff” she’s allegedly pitching to other networks, Farrah said she’s currently working on a film adaptation of one of her books and has a true crime docuseries being optioned at “Lion Gate.” (We assume she’s referring to the production company, “Lionsgate.”)
