Exclusive! Rakhi Sawant backs Hania Aamir amid Diljit Dosanjh-Sardaar Ji 3 row: ‘Her real place is in Bollywood’

Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh-starrer Sardaar Ji 3 has courted a massive controversy for casting Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in the film. While the film will skip its theatrical release in India, it is scheduled to release overseas and in Pakistan on June 27, 2025. Now, in an exclusive conversation with News9, Rakhi Sawant backed Hania Aamir and opined that artists should not be put in the midst of war.

Previously, Diljit Dosanjh reacted to the casting of Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3 and told BBC Asian Network, “When the film was made, the situation was fine. This film was shot in February. A lot of things happened after that which are not in our control. When it (Pahalgam attack) happened, the producers knew that they couldn’t release this film in India anymore. But, they decided to release it overseas as they have invested a lot of money in the film. They will 100% suffer losses because they are removing an entire territory.”

Speaking to us exclusively, Rakhi Sawant said, “I am so excited about Hania Aamir, an actress from Pakistan. Look, all the fights have happened later. I have known Hania Aamir for years. I live in Dubai. She comes to the functions here. It was my wish that Hania Aamir become Salman Khan’s heroine or Shah Rukh’s heroine, but Salman Khan’s. But I didn’t know that God fulfilled my wish so soon that now she is becoming Diljit’s heroine. She is a real beauty. So I feel that her real place is in Bollywood. Look, keep the war separate.”

She further added, “If you go out of India, India and Pakistan live together in Dubai, America, Pakistan, and London, the world. India and Pakistan live together. And 80% of Indians have married Pakistanis. And 85% of Pakistanis have married Indians. There are some people who are fighting. Why are they fighting? Why are they putting artists in the midst of war? I really don’t understand. I condemn.”

“That a sweet actress like Hania Aamir is not being given an entry in Bollywood. You have accepted thousands of other artists. So why don’t you accept a doll like Hania Aamir? But some people who are jealous, who are not good singers, or are not giving good music, or whose diet is not working, want to point out Diljit Dosanjh. Hania Aamir has never done Hindustan-Pakistan,” she added.
