Published 1 month ago5 minute read

As a relative newcomer to the world of streaming, continues to prove why it’s a service many audiences should have. With massive films like Wicked and hit shows such as Yellowstone in its catalog, it’s arguably one of the best streaming platforms to have. Given the dozens of options consumers have to choose from, Peacock’s price point makes it a rather appealing one.

As April approaches, the streaming platform has a handful of shows slated to arrive that viewers won’t want to pass up. From criminal dramas to hilarious sitcoms, Peacock has enough to keep viewers entertained for some time. There might not be a plethora of new shows heading to the platform next month, but there are certainly a couple of finales that fans won’t want to miss.

An intense procedural crime drama series, follows a team of investigators tasked with tracking down and capturing some of the most dangerous killers the world has ever seen. However, having just escaped from a top-secret prison that isn’t supposed to exist, the killers won’t be found so easily. In the wake of the disaster, FBI Special Agent and criminal profiler Bex Henderson (Melissa Roxburgh) is brought in as part of the small and rather secret team to help locate every freed criminal.

Meticulously researched or more fanciful, but here are the 15 best films we’ve enjoyed about the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

While the series has yet to be renewed for a second season, its upcoming finale is all but guaranteed to be an explosive one. Given the blast that freed the violent killers was seemingly not an accident, there’s certainly more at play that Bex will need to unravel. With only 10 episodes in the entire first season, the show has a lot of questions to answer before its impending conclusion. .

Originally on NBC, ’s fifth season is now exclusively on Peacock. The hit Law & Order: SVU spin-off follows Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni), who works as the lead detective in the Organized Crime Control Bureau headed by Sgt. Ayanna Bell (Danielle Moné Truitt). Throughout the series, he works to take down some of New York’s most violent and illegal enterprises while simultaneously navigating the dangers that often follow him home.

In the show’s newest season, Stabler will tackle the world of cross-border smuggling and high-tech domestic terrorism and do his best to circumvent a crime family’s intention to seek revenge for what he did to them while in Rome. As his worlds collide, he’ll lean on his brother Randall (Dean Norris) to keep his family safe and thriving. With Rick Gonzalez as undercover expert Bobby Reyes and Ainsley Seiger as tech genius Jet Slootmaekers, the show’s fifth season is all but guaranteed to be one of its best. .

An animated children’s series, follows four kids, Mateo, Mei Lin, Frost, and Kawhi, who all live at a nature preserve known as The Sanctuary. Together, they make up the Mekbots Animal Rescue team and travel the world in order to save various animals, including bison, baby gorillas, lions, and even pink dolphins. The show is intended to be an educational yet entertaining series for children and provides viewers with information about every animal the team rescues.

Already in its first season, Peacock will be adding brand-new episodes for children and families to enjoy next month. While the series is certainly akin to other children’s shows with animals, the Mekbots team takes on a robot form during their missions rather than approaching the animals directly. A series that’s fun for every young viewer, the show is definitely one that parents would approve of and shouldn’t overlook. .

The hilarious mockumentary medical sitcom concludes its first season next month, which means fans will be anxiously awaiting its Season 2 return. Similar to shows like The Office and Parks and Rec, the series acts as a documentary that chronicles the lives of regular people. However, this time, a group of dedicated, yet overworked, doctors, nurses, and other medical staff lie at the center of the narrative.

Set at an Oregon hospital known as St. Denis Reginal Medical Center, the eccentric team does their best to care for their patients while simultaneously working to maintain their own sanity in the process. Despite the hospital’s lack of funding, its executive director, Joyce (Wendi McLendon-Covey), wants nothing more than for St. Denis Medical to become an international medical destination.

Peacock's 'Long Bright River' is an emotional tale tackling issues like drug addiction amid a series of mysterious murders threatening the community.

However, she won’t let pesky hurdles like money stop her from achieving such goals or staying positive in the process. With nurses like Alex (Allison Tolman), who was just promoted to the ER’s Supervising Nurse at the start of the season, doctors like Ron (David Alan Grier), who have seemingly done and seen it all, and other precocious, yet silly, medical staff, hijinksat the hospital are inevitable. However, as the finale will surely showcase, that doesn’t stop anyone from doing what they love most: helping people. The St. Denis Medical Season 1 finale is streaming on April 30.
