There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in Euroleague. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Turkish Fenerbahce as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Fenerbahce defeated 14th ranked Spanish Baskonia in Istanbul

82-77. Fenerbahce made 24-of-24 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Fenerbahce outrebounded Baskonia 43-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Nigel Hayes-Davis (203-1994, college: Wisconsin) who scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Italian power forward Nicolo Melli (205-1991) chipped in 7 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Trent Forrest (194-1998, college: FSU) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 assists for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Olympiacos. Baskonia at the other side keeps the fourteenth place with 19 games lost. They share the position with ASVEL. Just two games before the end of Regular Season and it may be the most important game of the season next round when Baskonia faces ASVEL trying to get back on the winning streak. Fenerbahce will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Barca in Barcelona.
Top ranked Greek Olympiacos (22-10) recorded its tenth loss in Piraeus. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked French Monaco (20-12) 80-77. American point guard Mike James (185-1990, college: Lamar) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 assists. Jaron Blossomgame contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Bulgarian forward Aleksandar Vezenkov (204-1995) replied with 21 points and 6 rebounds for Olympiacos. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Monaco have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending French champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Panathinaikos. Olympiacos lost third consecutive game. They still keep top position with ten games lost. They share it with Fenerbahce. Monaco will play against Panathinaikos (#4) in Athens in the next round. Olympiacos will play on the road against ALBA in Berlin and hope to get back on the winning track.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Greek Panathinaikos (20-12) against tenth ranked French Paris Basket (18-14) on Friday night. Host Panathinaikos were edged by Paris Basket in a tough game in Athens 98-101. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Panathinaikos. Worth to mention a great performance of TJ Shorts who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 9 rebounds and 14 assists. Kendrick Nunn responded with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Paris moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Defending Greek champion Panathinaikos keep the third position with 12 games lost. They share it with Monaco. Paris will meet Real Madrid (#6) on the road in the next round. Panathinaikos will play against Monaco and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Rest of the games of round 32 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Zalgiris were defeated by ASVEL in Villeurbanne 88-79. Bayern beat Partizan at home 89-74. Barca won against Milano on the opponent's court 98-88. Anadolu Efes managed to outperform M.Tel-Aviv in a home game 90-88. Virtus rolled over ALBA on the road 108-64. Crvena zvezda lost to Spanish defending champion Real Madrid on its own court 72-78.

ASVEL - Zalgiris 88-79

There was a minor upset when 13th ranked Lithuanian Zalgiris (14-18) were defeated on the road by fifteenth ranked French ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (13-19)

moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Baskonia.

lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 18 games lost.

ASVEL will meet Baskonia (#15) in the next round. Zalgiris will play against Partizan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
