Entries now open for the Music Week Women In Music Awards 2025 | Media | Music Week
It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for: entries are now officially open for the prestigious Music Week Women In Music Awards 2025!
The awards, organised in association with AIM and UK Music, was conceived to celebrate the achievements of incredible women and female-identifying professionals in the music business – from game-changing executives to extraordinary artists, campaigners and beyond.
As ever, the 2025 event will boast two distinct aspects – the awards category winners focusing on specific areas of the industry and also the Music Week Women In Music Roll Of Honour in association with TikTok. Established in 2014, the Roll Of Honour aims to highlight the breadth, depth and variety of individuals who are ‘game changers’ in the music industry, with one common theme; they are either women or female-identifying, or their activities consistently benefit women, or focus on female empowerment/gender disparity.
We will continue, with purpose and passion, to wave the flag for women and celebrate those who bring so much to our business
Last year’s sold-out ceremony was a triumph as we celebrated 10 years of the event, with a host of top names from across the global music business in attendance, and winners including Tori Amos being presented with the Inspirational Artist Award and Lorna Clarke, director of music, BBC, receiving the Outstanding Contribution honour. You can revisit all the action here.
But now, onto 2025…
Speaking about this year’s event, Alison Wenham and Lara Baker, who co-founded Women In Music in 2014, say: “As we open for nominations this year, we are reminded of the ongoing importance of this event and our mission towards an equal and inclusive industry. Progress towards these goals is not always a given; we have seen this year that the rights and freedoms of women and minority groups can be threatened and rolled back. We will continue, with purpose and passion, to wave the flag for women and celebrate those who bring so much to our business.”
With that said, here’s everything you need to know:
