The AirlineRatings.com, a leading airline safety and product rating site, has unveiled its list of the world’s safest airlines for 2025. UAE’s Emirates and Etihad Airways both ranked in the top 10, with Emirates securing third place and Etihad fifth. Qatar Airways joined Emirates in third place, while Cathay Pacific from Hong Kong also shared the rank. Air New Zealand topped the list, followed by Qantas from Australia. Among budget carriers, flydubai and Air Arabia, both UAE-based, ranked 11th and 18th, respectively. The rankings evaluate factors such as incident rates, fleet age, safety protocols, and pilot training standards. Dubai’s Emirates is on track to achieve a world-first by becoming an Autism-Certified Airline, certified by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards. Over 30,000 Emirates staff have undergone specialized training to support passengers with autism and sensory sensitivities.
By 2023, Emirates had already earned Autism Centre certification for its Dubai check-in facilities. Leading the list is Singapore, with visa-free access to 195 destinations, followed by Japan with 193.
