American billionaire, Elon Musk, has made public a drug test result following renewed allegations that he used illegal substances while supporting Donald Trump’s 2024 election campaign and serving in his administration.

In a post via his social media platform X, Musk shared an image of a document from Fastest Labs of South Austin, which indicated that a urine sample collected from a donor named “Elon Musk” on 11 June tested negative for more than a dozen drugs, including ketamine, ecstasy, and cocaine.

Musk simply wrote “lol” alongside the image.

The move follows a May report by The New York Times, which claimed the tech billionaire used ketamine, ecstasy, and psychedelic mushrooms during the campaign and allegedly carried a pill box on his travels.

The paper noted it was “unclear” whether he continued the drug use while serving as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under Trump.

In a previous response reported by SaharaReporters on June 1, Musk had categorically denied the allegations: “Also, to be clear, I am NOT taking drugs! The New York Times was lying their ass off.”

He acknowledged past medical use of ketamine, writing: “I tried prescription ketamine a few years ago and said so on 𝕏, so this not even news. It helps for getting out of dark mental holes, but haven’t taken it since then.”

The Wall Street Journal had also published a report in January 2024 stating that top officials at Tesla and SpaceX were alarmed by Musk’s alleged drug habits. Musk, however, has repeatedly dismissed such claims.

Following Tuesday’s post, Musk launched a scathing attack on the media houses involved, writing: “The sheer audacity of the WSJ/NYT lies is astonishing!” He then challenged the reporters: “take drug tests and publish the results!” adding, “They won’t, because those hypocrites are guilty as sin.”

At his final White House press conference earlier in the year, Musk had also labelled the New York Times article as “fake news.”
