Ellie and Dina Are in Trouble in New 'The Last of Us' Season 2 Images

With just a few weeks to go until the launch of Season 2, HBO has given us a few looks at some old faces and some new faces too. Ahead of what's set to be a stormy second outing for Joel and Ellie, it's time to take a look at what's to come. We can't go into the plot of Season 2, because spoilers, but HBO have shown off new looks at as Joel Miller, as Ellie Williams, alongside the returning as Joel's brother, Tommy, and as his wife, Maria. joins the cast as Abby, a soldier seeking vengeance whose actions have lasting consequences, plays Dina, Ellie's girlfriend, and takes on the role of Jesse, a friend of Ellie and Dina's.

What we can fairly say is that the arrival of Abby will be monumental as it will impact Joel and Ellie's lives. Last month, HBO’s Head of Drama was doing the rounds with the gathered media at the premiere of down in Thailand, and revealed that there is a blueprint the creative team will be following that should take around four seasons to complete, which means no matter what goes down in Season 2, the story is not yet told.

“We don’t have a complete or final plan, but I think it’s looking like four seasons. I wouldn’t want to confirm that, but it’s looking like this season and then two more seasons after this and we’re done.”
