Eid-el-Kabir: Gombe State Governor Urges Sacrifice, Unity And Prayers For Nigeria

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in the state and across the globe on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.

Governor Yahaya urged all to embrace the festival’s enduring values of sacrifice, obedience, and tolerance.

In his Sallah goodwill message, the Governor called on the faithful to wholly submit to the will of Almighty Allah in all circumstances, in the spirit of Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) unwavering devotion.

He highlighted the importance of upholding love, compassion, and neighbourliness as taught by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), urging Muslims to reflect deeply on the core message of Eid-el-Kabir — total submission, selflessness, and steadfast faith.

Governor Yahaya called on Muslims to offer special prayers during this sacred period for continued peace, unity, and prosperity in Gombe State and the nation at large, especially for those entrusted with leadership at all levels.

He also expressed appreciation to traditional rulers, religious and community leaders, and the citizens of Gombe State for their steadfast support and cooperation, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to good governance and sustained development.

The Governor concluded by congratulating pilgrims from Gombe and across Nigeria on the successful completion of the Arafat and other significant rites of Hajj, praying for their safe return and for Allah to accept their pilgrimage as an act of sincere worship rewarded abundantly.
