Edwin Sifuna Trashes MoU Between Raila and William Ruto after Albert Ojwang's Murder: "It's Useless"
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) secretary general Edwin Sifuna has strongly detested the memorandum of understanding his party leader, Raila Odinga, signed with President William Ruto three months ago.

The two leaders realised a working pact on March 7, stipulating areas of cooperation in solving the pressing issues affecting the common citizenry.
Speaking in western Kenya on Saturday, June 14, Sifuna observed that abductions and extrajudicial killings were among the issues the pact was devised to solve.
He observed that no progress had been made by the government to address the matter, hence rendering the memorandum a pointless document.
The Nairobi senator was speaking in light of the killing of blogger Albert Ojwang in police custody.
He said Ruto's regime could not be redeemed, even with whatever MoU, saying the excesses in his regime had made it an irredeemable basket case.
"Where we have reached, we want action, not empty words. As for me, if you asked me, I would say the MoU we signed with UDA is of no use as I speak today. It useless. How can we agree that you don't kill the youths, then a young man is picked from his home, and then killed in a police cell," he said.
As reported earlier, the blogger was killed in police custody hours after being booked following his arrest.
Ojwang was apprehended on Saturday, June 7, by five officers attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) who arrived at his native home in Lida Centre, Homa Bay county.
He was being arrested over alleged defamatory posts an X account linked to him had made against Deputy Inspector General Eliud Lagata.
The 31-year-old was picked up in front of his family, his wife and father included, and taken to the nearby Mawego Police Station, where he was briefly booked before his ill-fated journey to Nairobi.
He arrived in Nairobi moments past 9 pm and was booked at the Central Police Station.

It was there that he was last seen alive.
Ojwang was discovered dead on Sunday, June 8, with police initially stating that he had succumbed to self-harm injuries after hitting his head against the wall of the cell.
The death sparked anger among Kenyans, prompting the statement from the police alluding to self-inflicted injuries.
The autopsy conducted on June 10 showed Ojwang was assaulted, his neck compressed as evidenced by the marks.
Ojwang's body currently lies in Chiromo Mortuary, Nairobi, as burial arrangements begin.
Ruto and Raila condemned the blogger's killing, calling for swift action by the authorities to bring the perpetrators of the murder to justice.
