Edo lawmaker takes education tour to constituents in Okpella
The National Association of Okpella Students (NAOS) on Wednesday commended the lawmaker representing Estako Federal Constituency in the National Assembly (NASS), Hon. Dekeri Anamero, for supporting youth development in the country, stating that over 2,000 youths are to be impacted in his constituency through knowledge-based programmes.
NAOS made the commendation following the unveiling of the first-ever Okpella Education Awareness Tour 2025, a transformative initiative dedicated to reviving the spirit of learning and purpose among the youths, sponsored by the federal lawmaker.
The Okpella Education Awareness Tour 2025 has the theme: “Education for All: Empowering Every Child, Inspiring Every Gender.”
A statement by the convener, Comrade Covenant Samuel, made available to the media in Benin, said the education tour will uplift the youths and bring development to rural households in Okpella and beyond.
He expressed appreciation to the sponsor, Anamero, for his unwavering support in promoting youth development in communities.
The Okpella Education Awareness Tour is a four-day event taking place in Afokpella, Awuyemi, Iddo, and Ogute Town Halls, all located in Okpella, Estako East Local Government Council, Edo State.
The convener assured that the education tour, which is to commence from July 1, will inspire young children and the youths, saying, “Over the four impactful days, this tour will reach communities in Afokpella/Ogriga, Awuyemi, Iddo, and Ogute/Imiekuri, delivering a message of hope, education, and empowerment to every child and young person.
“This is more than just an outreach. It is a movement to reignite the light of education in every household across Okpella.
“The students and youths thank you, our sponsor, for believing in this vision and helping us write a new chapter in our collective history,” he said.
