PADUCAH — The Cabinet for Health and Family Services has lifted the emergency suspension of the child care license at Easterseals West Kentucky, the organization announced Thursday afternoon.
Child care staff is currently on site and will have staff available through 5:30 p.m. Parents and guardians may bring their children in for the rest of the afternoon. Families will not be charged for child care for Thursday, May 1, the organization said.
The reopening follows the Tuesday announcement that the . The division issued an emergency suspension of the license after the in which a child was left unattended for about 12 minutes. The child did not have special needs.
The division required Easterseals to submit a written corrective action plan for its approval.
