EastEnders star Heather Pearce has publicly shared her breast cancer diagnosis via an Instagram post. The announcement was made alongside a behind-the-scenes video showing her wig fitting for the BBC One program. Pearce, aged 49, disclosed that she received her diagnosis in October 2024 and subsequently underwent surgery followed by a period of recovery during the Christmas holidays.
In her statement, Pearce conveyed a sense of relief and accomplishment as she concluded her chemotherapy journey. She described waking up on the final day of treatment as feeling similar to reaching the end of the London Marathon.
