DYK, Aamir Khan Didn't Bathe For Days While Filming Raakh And Ghulam; Here's Why | Bollywood Bubble
Aamir Khan has earned the moniker of ‘Mr Perfectionist’ of Bollywood as he has been lauded for undergoing intense prep for every film. From gaining weight in Dangal to adapting mannerisms in PK, he has left no stone unturned to impress audience. Reports were rife that Aamir Khan didn’t bathe for over a week during Raakh and Ghulam shoot.
In an interview with ABP, Aamir shares, “When I was doing the second film of my career, Raakh, I didn’t take a shower for many days. In that film, a situation is created where I have left the house and have been living on the streets. So to stay in that character, and to make people believe I am actually homeless, I didn’t shower until the shots were done.”
He further said, “Apart from this, when I did Ghulam, I had to shoot a long action sequence for its climax. If you see the film, I get beaten up a lot. So as I get beaten up, my wound gets severe, I bleed. Now, if I had taken a shower then the continuity of how I look after getting beaten up would get compromised. So I decided to not take a shower for a week to keep the same look. I didn’t want to look fresh.”
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan is all set to return to the big screen with Sitaare Zameen Par, a sequel to his 2007 hit Taare Zameen Par. The upcoming project features Genelia Deshmukh along with a bunch of newcomers. Directed by RS Prasanna, the film is produced by Aamir himself along with Aparna Purohit.
