Dunsin Oyekan: How I've coped six years after my wife's death - TheCable Lifestyle

Adedoyin passed away on May 18, 2019 — though the cause of her death remained private.

In a recent Instagram post, Oyekan, 40, that he has channelled his pain into worshipping God for six years.

“Most people wondered how I survived. I didn’t numb the pain, I channeled it! I found closure in the Presence of God, understood from God’s perspective, accepted His sovereignty and found joy in His presence!” he wrote.

“That’s the path of Life… 6 years after, with tears of joy, all I still have to say is GOD IS GOOD!”

Dunsin and Adedoyin tied the knot in February 2013 and were blessed with two children before her passing.

A gifted musician from a young age, Oyekan began singing and playing the guitar at just 10 years old. Over the years, he has released over thirty songs and once served as the music director for the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) choir.

His discography includes acclaimed projects such as ‘Kingdom Now’ (2019), ‘The Gospel of the Kingdom’ (2021), ‘’ (2022), and his latest album, ‘The Great Commission’ (2024).

In 2022, Oyekan survived a near-fatal car accident along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway while traveling to a youth summit, ‘Giant Killers,’ at the University of Ibadan.

The crash occurred at the Ishara axis in Ogun.
