Dunsin Oyekan grabbed by man on stage mid-ministration
Gospel singer Dunsin Oyekan was grabbed by an unidentified man during a live worship ministration, causing a brief scene that has gone viral across social media platforms.
The incident occurred at a worship programme in Lagos.
In a video clip shared, the man is seen rushing to the stage and holding on tightly to the singer while he was ministering.
Despite efforts by ushers and security personnel to separate them, the man clung to Dunsin for several seconds before being dragged off the platform.
Though visibly disrupted, Dunsin resumed the session after the man was removed and the worship continued without further interruption.
The motive behind the man’s actions remains unknown, but the video, which quickly went viral on Tuesday, has sparked mixed reactions online.
“The fact that this happened mid-worship is disturbing,” one user wrote on X.
Another commented, “This is why stage protocol should never be taken lightly. These ministers are not bodyguards.”
Some described the act as a “spiritual overload,” while others expressed concern over the safety of gospel ministers during live ministrations.
Dunsin Oyekan, known for songs like ‘Open Up’, ‘Yah’ and ‘Fragrance to Fire’, is one of Nigeria’s respected worship leaders.
He frequently ministers at major Christian gatherings including The Experience Lagos, Kingdom Realm, Apostolic Invasion and The Outpouring.
