According to Nielsen Media Research, 11.159 million total viewers and 4.076 million viewers in the advertiser-coved Adults 25-54 demo tuned in for their conversation, which aired between 3 and 3:44 p.m. ET.

Nielsen also reports that Super Bowl LIX had the largest audience ever for a Super Bowl and for a single-network telecast in TV history. The game aired on Fox, Fox Deportes, and Telemundo and streamed on Tubi from approximately 6:42 to 10:16 p.m. ET.

Compared to Trump’s interview ahead of the 2020 Super Bowl—which also aired on Fox—Sunday’s appearance rose by nearly 10% in viewership.

Baier’s interview with Trump aired in two parts. The Sunday portion found him backing Elon Musk‘s controversial actions as the head of the Department of Governmental Efficiency or DOGE. The anchor also asked him about the tariffs that his administration came close to levying against Mexico and Canada.

Part 2 aired on aired on Monday’s edition of Special Report with Bret Baier. Per Nielsen, that newscast was watched by 4.1 million total viewers and 498,000 A25-54 viewers. That part of the conversation featured Trump talking about his plans for the Gaza Strip as well as the possibility of Vice President J.D. Vance being his successor in 2028.

“No, but he’s very capable,” Trump said of Vance. “You have a lot of very capable people. So far, I think he’s doing a fantastic job.”
