The upcoming slate gets a major update from Disney. The Multiverse Saga is nearing its end, as Phase 6 is about to start this summer with The Fantastic Four: First Steps being released in theaters. However, Marvel Studios is retooling some of the plans for Phase 6, as Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars have been delayed, with new release dates recently being announced for the Phase 6 films in 2026 and 2027, respectively, but the MCU updates don't stop there.
Previously, Disney had three untitled Marvel movies set for February 13, 2026, November 6, 2026, and November 5, 2027. However, in a new update from the studio, .
It makes sense why the February 13, 2026 slot was removed altogether, since Marvel Studios hadn't announced a project for that day. Outside of Avengers: Doomsday, which is filming right now, no other MCU movie is currently in production. Even if an MCU film were to start principal photography anytime soon in order to release it on February 13, 2026, , which is why Disney was wise to remove that date.
When it comes to the two November release dates, the November 6, 2026 slot getting used for a different Disney movie is justified since Avengers: Doomsday will be arriving in December of that year. Given that Phase 6 is set to end in December 2027 with Avengers: Secret Wars instead in May 2027, the November 5, 2027 date would have likely been for a Phase 7 movie. Because of the new Marvel shift, there is no reason to have that 2027 date anymore, .

Given how Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige are looking to focus on quality over quantity with the MCU, following a mixed couple of years during The Multiverse Saga, . Allowing Phase 6 to finish out their remaining projects while adding some breathing room in between releases also makes the prospects for Phase 7 even more exciting, which is when the X-Men and mutants will have a bigger focus. Hopefully, with all of these changes implemented, Phase 6 will have a steady road ahead for the as they wrap up The Multiverse Saga.
