EMILIA PÉREZ over DUNE PART TWO is a JOKE

Emilia Pérez over Dune. Emilia Pérez over The Wild Robot. Emilia Pérez over Sing Sing. Nickel Boys. The Substance, Nosferatu….. The virtue signaling is laughable and it’s a circus to marvel at that a film that defecates on actual representation is getting this much attention.

Critics praised Villeneuve for his meticulous attention to detail, calling Dune: Part Two an audiovisual symphony and a benchmark for epic filmmaking. However, despite its technical brilliance and impact on the industry, the BAFTAs chose to nominate more unconventional picks, including Emilia Perez.

Emilia Perez’s nomination for Best Film highlights the value of bold, unconventional storytelling in Hollywood today. Nominating it over popular franchise films like Dune: Part Two goes to show that grossing high doesn’t mean the film offers better filmmaking.
While Dune: Part Two dazzled audiences with its technical brilliance, Emilia Perez reminds us that originality and heartfelt storytelling can also leave a lasting impression. Both films showcase originality and what modern cinema has to offer, deserving recognition.
Awards don’t matter for someone to enjoy or even like a film. Many unconventional films like Emilia Perez have won awards over large-scale projects like Dune: Part Two but at the end of the day every individual has their own jam. Let’s celebrate all these amazing movies regardless of who wins or loses.
