Diary of a Ditched Girl OTT Release Date: In today’s world of ghosting, swiping left, and awkward “talk to you soon” texts, Diary of a Ditched Girl lands as a brutally relatable, bittersweet, and painfully honest look at dating in your thirties. Set to release on Netflix on September 11, 2025, this Swedish original brings heartbreak, humour, and modern love drama together in a way that feels all too familiar.

At the heart of the series is Amanda, played by Carla Sehn, a 31-year-old woman trying to make sense of her love life. She’s been through the wringer: flaky men, blind dates that go nowhere, and dating apps that feel more like slot machines than matchmaking tools.

More than just finding a boyfriend, Amanda’s journey is also about figuring herself out, what she wants, what she deserves, and how much rejection she can take before she starts questioning her own worth. Every episode walks us through a summer in Malmö, Amanda’s city and emotional playground, where she and her group of equally confused friends attempt to find meaningful connections while barely making it past the first date.

Other than Carla Sehn, Diary of a Ditched Girl also stars Moah Madsen, Zahraa Aldoujaili, Malou Marnfeldt, Dilan Apak, Ingela Olsson, Isac Calmroth, Johannes Lindkvist, Adam Dahlström and Kit Walker Johansson. The show is based on the book Halva Malmö gjorde slut med mig by Amanda Romare.

Diary of a Ditched Girl is directed by Emma Bucht and Susanne Thorson, and produced by Jarowskij, a company well-known for delivering top-tier Nordic television dramas. The screenplay has been adapted by Tove Eriksen Hillblom (Solsidan, Inte OK!) and Moa Herngren (Bonusfamiljen, Sjölyckan), two seasoned Swedish writers who know how to mix heartache with humour.

Whether you're single, taken, or somewhere in between, this is one story that'll make you laugh, cringe, and maybe even cry. And if you’ve ever been ditched, this diary is definitely for you.
