Dhanush is on a roll. After his appearance in last year, the actor has had just one release in 2025 so far, his third directorial, . However, with the recent announcement that he will be playing Dr APJ Abdul Kalam in the late president’s biopic, it’s clear that Dhanush has an exciting slate lined up for the rest of the year and well into 2026. Curious about what else is in store? Here’s a roundup of all the upcoming Dhanush films to keep an eye out for.

A social thriller, is a Shekhar Kammula directorial which is slated to hit theatres on June 20. Simultaneously shot in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi, the film also stars Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, Jim Sarbh and Dalip Tahil. Dhanush’s 51st film, , will reportedly revolve around the pursuit of wealth and its consequences.

Dhanush’s fourth directorial, marks his 52nd film as actor. The film is also produced by his Wunderbar Studios banner, alongside Akash Bhaskaran’s Dawn Pictures. Nithya Menen, Arun Vijay, Sathyaraj, Samuthirakani, and Rajkiran, among others are also a part of the cast. Plot details for the film, which is scheduled for an October 1 release, are unavailable. 

Dhanush’s third collaboration with Aanand L Rai, also stars Kriti Sanon in the lead role. The film, reportedly set in the world of the duo’s first film together, , is currently being shot in Benaras/Varanasi. AR Rahman, who has worked with the director and actor on their first film, as well as , is the music composer for this film as well. Penned by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav, the film will release on November 28. 

For his 55th film, Dhanush has joined with Rajkumar Periyasamy, who last helmed Sivakarthikeyan’s . Backed by Gopuram Films, the yet-to-be-titled film will revolve around an unsung hero, as revealed by the director previously. Details about the film’s extended cast, crew, plot and release date are yet to be disclosed. 

is Dhanush’s sophomore collaboration with director Mari Selvaraj, after . The film is set to be backed by Vels Film International and will have music composed by AR Rahman. While plot details are unannounced, the film is touted to have a historical storyline. More details about cast, crew and release date are awaited. 

Dhanush will be seen as Ilaiyaraaja in his biopic, which is set to be helmed by Arun Matheswaran. The film marks Dhanush’s second collaboration with Arun after . The biopic is backed by Connekkt Media, Mercuri Movies and PK Prime Production. Nirav Shah is the cinematographer for the film, which will have production design by Muthuraj. The makers are yet to reveal more details.

Dhanush’s fifth film with frequent collaborator Vetrimaaran, is in the nascent stages of development. The film comes after their work together in , , and . It is set to be backed by RS Infotainment, which produced Vetrimaaran’s films.

The latest of all films, is, of course, . Dhanush will portray late scientist and former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam in his biography, which is set to be helmed by Om Raut. The film marks Dhanush's fifth Hindi film after , and . Backed by T-Series Films and Abhishek Agarwal Films, the rest of the cast and crew of the film is yet to be revealed.

While announcing the , Ishari Ganesh of Vels Film International also said that they’re producing another film with Dhanush, details of which are yet to be announced. Meanwhile, speculations are rife that Dhanush is collaborating with director, Vignesh Raja, for a film titled Aruvadai. Other reports suggest that a film with Lubber Pandhu director Tamizharasan Pachamuthu may also be on the cards. Official announcements of these films are awaited.
