Veteran journalist and media mogul Dele Momodu has reacted to the public display of affection between politician Ned Nwoko and his wife, actress Regina Daniels.

Nwoko, who chairs the Senate Committee on Reparation and Repatriation, reaffirmed his love for Regina on Thursday while announcing that they were expecting their third child together.

The billionaire senator shared a picture of himself and Regina on Instagram, celebrating their six-year journey. He playfully noted that she “still can’t resist” him and revealed that he jokingly proposed to her again earlier that morning. According to him, she laughed and accepted.

Regina responded in the comment section, assuring her husband of her unwavering loyalty regardless of any speculation about other women.

“Oooh my king! The greatest man in Igbo land! Dike’m! Obim! Ezigbo dim Oma!” she wrote.

“What did I do to deserve this honour! 10,000 women by your right, 20,000 by your left, and I will stand gidigba because what we share will remain the first in history.”

Nwoko’s post came amid speculation that he was expecting a child outside wedlock with actress Chika Ike. The lawmaker addressed the allegation, dismissing it as false.

“No rumoured child outside, that ship never sailed. Let them retire that story, tired and stale. Their lies will fade, their voices dim, yet here we stand unmoved, untrimmed. For love like ours, built on steel, doesn’t break, doesn’t kneel. Still standing, still thriving, unshaken, supreme,” he added.

Momodu, reacting to their exchange shared screenshots of the couple’s love notes on Friday with the caption, “Trending COUPLE…”

Their public show of affection comes after rumours of a rift between them, especially after Regina briefly deactivated her Instagram page, removed her husband’s name from her bio, and deleted photos of him.
