Umo Eno, the Akwa Ibom State governor, has promised to influence return tickets to lawmakers in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly as a political bait to those that will defect with him to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The Governor declared this at a meeting with all commissioners, Special Advisers, Permanent Secretaries and Delivery Advisors at the government house on Thursday.

The Governor assured the lawmakers that he would ensure as many of them who join him to APC, will get automatic tickets back to the state House of Assembly in 2027.

It could be recalled the lawmakers had allegedly demanded for two hundred and fifty million naira as condition to follow the Governor to APC following uncertainty of their political future.

Although there is no information on what was Governor’s response to the financial demand by the lawmakers, strong indications point that the Governor has promised automatic tickets to all lawmakers who will follow him to the APC.
