Daniel Nunez Hernandez shot dead in Bay Shore home, Suffolk police say

Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man who was fatally shot at his Bay Shore home on Thursday, Suffolk County police said.

Third Precinct officers who responded to a 911 call from a resident of a home on West Lakeland Street found Daniel Nunez Hernandez, 24, with a gunshot wound around 11:20 p.m., police said in a news release.

Nunez Hernandez, a resident of the home, was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic with the Brentwood Legion Ambulance.

Anyone with information about Nunez Hernandez’s death are asked to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
