Boxers making the jump to MMA is a rare sight, but when one of the sport’s brightest prospects hints at stepping into the octagon, people pay attention. Callum Walsh, the undefeated Irish boxing sensation, has been turning heads not just for his performances in the ring but for his close relationship with UFC CEO Dana White. Now, Walsh has added fuel to the fire by revealing that fighting in the UFC is something he’d love to do—at least once. With White’s backing and a growing reputation as one of boxing’s rising stars, could Walsh be gearing up for one of the most exciting crossovers in combat sports?
Callum Walsh, at just 24 years old, has built an impressive undefeated record in boxing, but what makes him stand out even more is the support he’s received from Dana White. The two were introduced by veteran boxing promoter Tom Loeffler, and since then, White has been all-in on promoting Walsh. He’s featured the Irishman on

, consistently praised him on social media, and made it clear that Walsh is the real deal.
Walsh himself believes that his mindset is what separates him from the rest. “The best fight the best,” he said in a recent interview, emphasizing that he doesn’t take easy fights—an attitude that resonates with White and UFC fans alike.
But what really got people talking was Walsh’s recent revelation that he’d love to fight in the UFC one day. Speaking to Inside Fighting, he said, “Yeah I do, we mess around. I had hand surgery a few months ago so I was out for a while from punching. So while I was recovering I was messing around doing a bit of Jiu-Jitsu and stuff like that. It was cool and I enjoyed it. I am a massive UFC fan. I’ve said this before, it is something on my bucket list. I would love to fight even if it is just one fight in the UFC.”
With his strong relationship with White, securing a UFC fight wouldn’t be difficult if Walsh seriously committed to MMA. However, White’s recent announcement about launching his own boxing promotion suggests that he may be more focused on shaping Walsh’s boxing career first.

Right now, Walsh remains fully focused on boxing, but his interest in MMA is undeniable. Whether he eventually steps into the UFC octagon or continues his ascent in boxing, one thing is clear—he’s got the skill, the mindset, and the backing of one of combat sports’ most powerful figures. If Walsh ever does make the switch, he wouldn’t just be another boxer trying his hand at MMA—he’d be one of the most intriguing crossover stories in years.
