Cybercrime Judicial Monitor - Issue 10

Published 1 day ago1 minute read

This is the tenth issue of the Cybercrime Judicial Monitor (CJM), jointly produced by Eurojust and the European Judicial Cybercrime Network (EJCN). The CJM is published once per year and distributed to judicial and law enforcement authorities active in the field of combating cyber-dependent and cyber-enabled crime.

The CJM contains four main sections. The first section covers legislative and policy developments in the area of cybercrime, electronic evidence and crypto-assets in 2024 and early 2025. The judicial analysis section provides insights into relevant judgments rendered within the EU and at international level. The third section covers the developments within the European Union in the past year in relation to data retention. The last section is dedicated to this year’s topic of interest: artificial intelligence (AI), in particular the criminal use of AI and the use of AI for law enforcement and administration of justice purposes.

The CJM is produced on the basis of information provided by the members of the EJCN.
