The cryptocurrency market experienced mixed reactions on January 20, as Bitcoin (BTC) fell to $101K after reaching a high of $106K earlier.

The global crypto market is buzzing today as Donald Trump is officially set to begin his presidential tenure.

Trump made headlines by launching a meme coin, “TRUMP Coin,” which surged 55% in the last 24 hours.

Additionally, Melania Trump also unveiled her meme coin (MELANIA), which skyrocketed by an extraordinary 2000% shortly after launch.

The global crypto market cap saw a decline of around 3%, falling to $3.54 trillion.

The total cryptocurrency market volume over the last 24 hours is $349.43 billion, reflecting an 82.33% increase.

Major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and XRP experienced downward pressure, reflecting the ongoing volatility in the market.

Bitcoin price today was trading at $102,197.57, marking a 2.45% drop in the last 24 hours.

Its 24-hour low was $99,471, while the high reached $106,229.

Trading volume for the coin shot up over 81% to $91 billion.

Bitcoin’s market cap stood at $2.02 trillion. Bitcoin’s dominance currently sits at 57.29%, showing a 0.26% increase over the day.

Despite recent fluctuations, Bitcoin ETFs recorded a significant weekly inflow of $887 million, highlighting sustained institutional interest in the cryptocurrency.

Ethereum saw a 0.4% decline, trading at $3,268.45.

Its 24-hour low and high were $3,137 and $3,444, respectively.

Trading volume for the coin was up a massive 88% at $63 billion.

Ethereum ETFs reported a weekly inflow of $188 million.

XRP traded at $3.10, marking a 2.60% drop in the last 24 hours.

Despite this dip, XRP remains up 25% over the past week.

Trading volumes for the coin were up 60% to $18 billion.

Notably, an XRP whale transferred $95 million worth of tokens ahead of Trump’s inauguration, sparking curiosity among investors.

Solana was the biggest loser among the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market cap.

Solana’s price crashed by 10% to $245, with a 24-hour low of $231 and a high of $294.

Among the top gainers, OFFICIAL TRUMP (TRUMP) surged by 40%, reaching $53.50, while MELANIA, Melania Trump’s meme coin, gained 19% to $8.70.

Meme coins, including Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB), showed bearish momentum following the launch of Trump and Melania’s meme coins.

Dogecoin fell by 7%, while Shiba Inu dropped by 6%. Other notable meme coins like PEPE and BONK also saw declines in the range of 13% to 15%.

Avalanche (AVAX) is currently trading at $35.83, showing a 1.17% increase in the last hour but a significant 8.74% decrease in the last 24 hours.

Aptos (APT) is valued at $8.51, with a 1.95% increase in the last hour but a notable 9.81% decrease in the last 24 hours.

Aave (AAVE) is currently priced at $320.15, showcasing a 3.17% increase in the last hour and a modest 3.26% increase in the last 24 hours.
