The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) offices in Lusaka were the scene of a protest on a Tuesday morning, as employees arriving for work found the premises locked by individuals demanding the resignation of FAZ General Secretary Reuben Kamanga. Staff members, including Kamanga himself and FAZ Spokesperson Sydney Mugala, were observed stranded outside the inaccessible building while police were also present at the scene. Reports from KBN and Diamond News indicated that placards had been stuck on the premises, and the group responsible was described as a "known anti-Reuben Kamanga group" orchestrating the protest to pressure him to step down.

The incident, which led to what some described as Football House being "under siege," prompted a response from FAZ President Keith Mweemba. Mweemba stated that the matter was considered "purely an administrative issue" and would be dealt with internally as such. He also confirmed that the incident had been formally reported to the police for investigation. Despite the disruption caused by the lockout and the demands for Kamanga's resignation, it was later reported that the FAZ offices had been opened, allowing normal operations to resume.
