Though the nominee in an earlier voting on Tuesday April 22, 2025 was rejected by the members, a second-round voting was held later which saw him being confirmed.

During the initial voting, he gained 10 ‘Yes’ votes out of the total votes of 19 falling short of the required threshold for confirmation.

In the second round of voting, he managed to secure 14 ‘Yes’ votes and four ballots deemed rejected.

Addressing members of the Assembly, the new MCE pledged to work relentlessly to “progress Kasoa into a different level of development” while “giving voice to the voiceless”.

He has also hinted that matters such as sanitation and crime fighting shall be prioritized and also rebrand Kasoa to create a favorable image to attract investors to the area.

While expressing gratitude to President John Mahama for his appointment, the new MCE also noted his commitment towards implementing the agenda of the government for Kasoa.
