Clarksburg road closed after 2 trucks get stuck in snow

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — Davisson Run Road was closed for an extended period of time Tuesday after a semi-truck got stuck in snow while heading up a hill.

According to the Harrison County 911 Log, at about 8:34 p.m., crews were alerted to a vehicle accident with no injuries on Davisson Run Road, just past the intersection of Sun Valley Road.

12 News went to the scene at roughly 10:30 p.m. and met with a member of the Clarksburg Fire Department, which had a truck blocking the road near Liberty High School. The firefighter said they did not have an estimate as to when the road would reopen.

12 News reporters then traveled to the other side of Davisson Run Road and found a Harrison County Sheriff’s Deputy at the foot of the hill, while West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) crews put chains on the tires of a large plow truck. The reporters went up the hill to see the semi-truck and what appeared to be another WVDOH truck, which had slipped into a nearby ditch.

The deputy told 12 News that no one was hurt in the accident. The roads were covered in snow when 12 News left the scene at about 11:10 p.m.
