Short’s boxing interest began at a young age when his dad would wake him up on early mornings to watch the greats of the 80’s. From there he would go on to box occasionally at an amateur level at the Lambton Street boxing gym, but never fully committing. He ended with a record of 2-4. 

A few years after his last fight Short found his way back to boxing as a coach where he coached for six years at Bo’s boxing club before it’s unfortunate closure in 2020. Shortly after this he would find his way to North Star ABC where he is currently a level two coach and has been coaching there for five years now. 

He is hoping to make a return to the ring this year for one last fight, where he will undoubtedly be surrounded by his fellow coaches and boxers.
