Police are responding to a serious multi-vehicle crash that has left at least one person critically injured in Chittering.

The crash happened on Great Northern Highway, south of Chittering Roadhouse, just after 11am on Saturday.

A police spokeswoman said “at least one person” has been critically injured after three vehicles collided.

“Great Northern Highway is closed northbound at Blue Plains Road and southbound at Chittering Road,” she said.

Firefighters and St John WA paramedics are also responding to the crash.

Commuters are urged to seek an alternate route and follow Main Roads for updates.
