CEBL round 11 caused change at the leadership position. Sixth defeat of league's leader Shooting Stars (7-6) against third ranked Stingers (8-6)
98-81 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Shooting Stars. Edmonton made 16-of-16 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American players dominated the game. Guard Sean East II (190-1999, college: Missouri) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 9 assists. Forward Nick Hornsby (201-1995, college: Sacramento St.) contributed with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. point guard Anthony Barber (188-1994, college: NC State) answered with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for Scarborough. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Stingers have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Edmonton maintains third place with 8-6 record behind leader Niagara. Scarborough at the other side dropped to the second position with six games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Niagara. Scarborough will play next round against league's leader Vancouver trying to make it back to the top of the standings. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Saskatchewan lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the fifth place with ten games lost. Saskatchewan will play next round against strong Montreal trying to get back on the winning streak. Vancouver will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Scarborough at Toronto.
Leading River Lions (7-5) recorded its fifth loss in Hamilton on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by fifth ranked Honey Badgers (4-8) 91-66. It was an exceptional evening for Koby McEwen who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Khalil Ahmad came up with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for Niagara in the defeat. Brampton maintains fifth place with 4-8 record. Loser River Lions still keeps top position with five games lost. Brampton will meet at home league's second-placed Calgary in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Niagara will play against Winnipeg and hope to secure a win.
There were no big surprises in other games of round 11: Scarborough beat Winnipeg on the road 103-93. Ottawa won against Montreal on its own court 90-77. Winnipeg was outscored by Ottawa in a road game 104-80. Edmonton managed to beat Montreal at home 94-83. Calgary was defeated by Saskatchewan on the opponent's court 96-89.
The most impressive performance of 11th round was 22 points and 8 rebounds by Greg Brown III of Calgary.

Vancouver - Saskatchewan 97-85

Saskatchewan will play next round against strong Montreal trying to get back on the winning streak. Vancouver will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Scarborough at Toronto.
