Veteran entertainer Vanexxa Akinyi, famously known as Cartoon Comedian, has left netizens with mixed reactions after jumping on a TikTok trend.

The singer, who recently dropped a song that left many wondering if she is engaged, has been trying to market her new work.

Some of her fans have encouraged her to go back to creating comedic content, while others have asked her to keep singing until they get used to her music.

However, there were rumours that her Nigerian lover Rotimi ended things with her after stating on his Instastory that he was single.

Cartoon has yet to comment about the breakup, but her recent video dancing with the caption 'dance or marry an oga' has left many with mixed reactions.

In the video, the entertainer looked like she was struggling to show off dance moves as she moved to the beat of her song.

She was in a crop top, short skirt and ankle boots that matched her top as she tried to shake what her mama gave her.

The comedian recently responded to fans expressing nostalgia for her old comedic self, stating that she had outgrown that version of herself.

Cartoon shifted from content creation to music in 2024, adopting a new stage name, Vanexxa Musiq, after starting a relationship with Rotimi.

Despite addressing fan concerns, Cartoon refrained from directly commenting on her relationship's role in her career shift.

Elsewhere, Cartoon once gave a glimpse of the palatial home she was living in after moving in with her oga babe.

The huge mansion had cabros covering the compound. It's a two-storey building whose walls are painted cream.

She accompanied the video with a song thanking fans for their support, leaving many admiring her compound and upgraded lifestyle.

In the post, her then-lover, Rotim, also congratulated her.
